Yes [Y] Play-Mor league HOT list

ATTENTION ALL PLAY-MOR LEAGUE PLAYERS!                       NEW FOR 2006/2007 LEAGUE YEAR!

The following items are things that have been considered, discussed and otherwise worked out through the internal and player committee process.  These things are agreed upon and are set for implementation into the league and tournament season for 2006/2007 league year.  These items will be clarified and implemented on all rules and league divisions starting after July 2006 with one exception in that it will also apply to the league at Top Shooters that started on Monday night July 24.

Again, all of the issues discussed herein will be blended into and clarified within the official league and tournament rules in the coming weeks.  In the meantime, if you have any questions please call or email.

League Pay-outs and sanctioning fee changes.

There are three (3) things that are being modified to enhance the league payouts.

    1)       Bigger league pay-outs…… The $1 each week which all players pay as part of their weekly dues that has previously funded the All Spree/Rising Star tournament added money, covered player NDA sanctioning fees, and Vegas trips for the All Spree/Rising Star and all of the State teams, is being re-distributed back to the league pay-out as follows:  50% added to first place, 30% added to second place and 20% added to third place in every league.  This money will be in addition to the regular “per win” money paid to those positions.

    2)       Bar Sponsorship added directly to league pay-outs….. We are going to allow Bar Owners who wish to sponsor teams in the league, a $40 per team option.  In many areas, there are money leagues which our Bar Owners wish to compete with… where the Bars are allowed or are even forced to pay sponsorship.  Many of our Bar Owners wish to add money or make other benefits available to players who play in their bar.  We have decided to allow any bar to add up to $40 per team as sponsorship, which will also be added to the league’s payout as follows: 50% to first, 30% to second place and 20% to third place.  This money will also be in addition to the regular “per win” money paid to those positions.  These two combined actions can create estimated league payouts as outlined below.

Estimated league payouts for 2007 with sponsor fees and previous $1 league tournament fund redirected to the top 3 places along with estimated “per win” $$.

    In a 10 team league

    1st place @ $820

    2nd place @ $575

    3rd place @ $450

    4th -10th  - $1,465

    In an 8 team league

    1st place @ $800

    2nd place @ $550

    3rd place @ $425

    4th -10th  - $1,000

    In a 6 team league

    1st place @ $650

    2nd place @ $491

    3rd place @ $394

    4th -10th  - $625

    3)       Sanctioning fees paid once per year….. We ask that all players pay their annual $7 sanction fee at time of signing up for one league per year.  If a player plays multiple nights or spring and fall, we only need $7 one time each year.  Since we are returning the $1 to the league fund we need to cover the sanction fees in this manner and again it is only one time where previously many players who played multiple nights or sessions felt they were contributing more than people who played just one night.  Now the $1 will go back to each and every league proportionately and create larger top prizes while doing so.  See estimated league payouts above.

    Tournament Series Changes.

There are several changes in the tournament series.

    1)       3 events…. There will be three (3) main tournaments instead of five (5) in 2007 with a new added “Finale” for the top 32 overall.  Event #1 will be in January, then #2 in late March and #3 in July.   Each All Star event will still have $4,000 sponsored prize money on the main event.  The date and place of the Finale is yet to be determined (see Finale below).  The point system is doubled for all positions and for all existing bonus point options.  I.e. wining a main event will be worth 70 points instead of 35 and participating in the triples, team and double will all be worth 4 points.

Event #1 is January 5-7 @ Holiday Inn, Columbia Missouri with $5,000.00 added.

Event #2 is March 30 – April 1 @ Sullivan Eagles Hall with $5,000.00 added.

Event #3 is July 20-22 @ Sullivan Eagles Hall with $5,000.00 added

    2)       Loser bracket over to win bonus points…  The option for bonus points for the loser coming over and winning the event is eliminated.  We are dropping that bonus point option.

    3)       Points Matches….. The Points Matches are being eliminated but a new “sanctioning of bar tournaments” will be offered where players will be able to earn more points, see more on that below.

    4)       Finale…. After the third tournament, we will pay out all point money to all players and invite the 32 highest men and women from both point systems to a one day tournament in (likely) September 2007 with $10,000 in prize money sponsored by Play-Mor Coin-Op.   The event will be at one of our League’s dart bars.  The bar will be chosen as follows: We will first select from the bars who’s owner or principal party competes in the NDA  tournament in Las Vegas in 2007, then from those, by who has the most Play-Mor dart league nights from September 1, 2006 through August 31, 2007.   Should there be two bars tied at that point, the decision will be made by which of the two bars has the highest percentage of qualified players in their leagues who also attended the 2007 NDA tournament in Las Vegas.  Assuming we continue this Finale format in coming years, no bar will be awarded the Finale two consecutive years.   The proportion of men and women invited to the Finale will be dictated by the proportion of men and women in the general league population.  Most likely 23 men and 11 women but we will confirm at the second tournament.  Players will be paired up by highest and lowest MPR for the Finale competition.

    5)       Point fund value and distribution...  The points will be funded from a 200% payback of the $10 entry fees at each of the 3 tournaments.  Play-Mor Coin-Op will sponsor/match every entry fee dollar for dollar.  Point money will be paid to all qualified players (including the top 32) at the third tournament immediately following the competition.

    6)       New Hi-Lo with different pay-outs…. The Hi-Lo Doubles will be expanded to include all players on Saturday night who wish to play. i.e. the All Spree/Rising Star  players too.  One larger competition to include all players who sign up by 3:00 pm on Saturdays and we will start the Hi-Lo at 6:00 pm instead of 7:00 pm.  We will be playing 501 freeze on both sides of bracket.  We will sponsor this event with $500 added as follows: $250 added to first, $150 added to second place and $100 added to third place.  There will also be two Vegas Air Fare Vouchers available to the two highest finishing non-All Stars in the event.  All of that is in addition to the 100% payback of all the $10 entry fees.  This combination will ensure a very large payout for everyone who plays in the Hi-Lo.  Note: due to the $1 league tournament monies being re-distributed back to each league, the $500 added and the two Vegas air fare vouchers ($500 value) will be sponsored by Play-Mor.

    7)       New /bar tournament sanctioning….  As a replacement to the Points Matches and to enhance or help encourage individual bar darting promotions, we will be offering each bar two tournament packets for each league in which they have teams.  These tournaments when utilized by the bar, will be open to all league players and provide All Stars an opportunity to earn 5 or 7 bonus points at each sanctioned bar tournament.  The bars will be asked to provide us dates for weekend bar tournaments that will be posted on our web site and advertised free in our quarterly newsletters where anyone may attend and compete.  These bonus points will be added directly to an all Star’s point tally just for participating in the bar tournament once the information is returned from the bar to Play-Mor.  Each All Star may earn up to 50 of these bonus points in total toward their annual score by simply participating in ten or more of these sanctioned bar tournaments and up to 60 points from the extra 2 points that can be gained for winning any of these sanctioned bar tournaments.  The packets will be provided directly to the bar with all rules and instructions included.  Details will be incorporated into all league rules in the coming weeks.  Certain restrictions will apply.  Stay tuned!

Again, all of the issues discussed herein will be blended into and clarified within the official league and tournament rules in the coming weeks.  In the meantime, if you have any questions please call or email and please forward this email to all league players.
